Psychological Warfare Techniques Employed Against Adnan Oktar

There have been many plots against the Science Research Foundation (BAV) and Adnan Oktar. Every plot against Muslims, even the most cunning and seemingly perfect, has been created to be neutralized by Allah. If you read the texts on this site with due care and attention you will see that Allah causes all the plots against Muslims to rebound against their perpetrators.

If anyone wants power, all power belongs to Allah. All good words rise to Him and He raises up all virtuous deeds. But people who plot evil deeds will suffer a harsh punishment. The plotting of such people is profitless.
(Surah Fatir, 10)

When those who disbelieve were plotting against you to imprison you or kill you or expel you: they were plotting and Allah was plotting,
but Allah is the Best of Plotters.
(Surat al-Anfal, 30)

There has been an uninterrupted campaign of psychological warfare waged against the BAV and Adnan Oktar for many years now. This war, prosecuted by a specific circle, is a helpless measure that stems from an inability to tolerate Adnan Oktar’s struggle against materialism and Darwinism and a refusal to accept the revelation and unveiling of the truth. Attempting to impose false ideas on people by way of psychological techniques, and to keep the true facts hidden from them, is an indication of a fraudulent and biased attitude, rather than a sincere and genuine one. Indeed, the smear campaign that has been waged against Mr. Oktar and the BAV for decades now is one of the most important examples of this psychological warfare.

Under the influence and direction of the circles involved in prosecuting this psychological war, there have to date been many plots against Adnan Oktar, and he has been slandered many times and many smear campaigns against him have been set in motion. These circles have reported any court stories regarding Adnan Oktar beneath headlines in giant letters, but have kept hidden any reports that Mr. Oktar has been absolved of these allegations, despite all the plots against him. Under the effect of this technique, with its ulterior motive, people for long imagined that the court cases initiated against Adnan Oktar because of the allegations made against him were still continuing. For a long time there were attempts to conceal the fact that all the allegations in question had been proven to be false and that Mr. Oktar had been absolved of each and every one. That is because one of the main techniques in psychological warfare of this kind is to report only those court cases in which such accusations are considered, and to remain silent when it comes to any information proving their false nature.

Those engaged in prosecuting this psychological war have also supported all the plots against Adnan Oktar since 1986.

We can cite some examples of this as follows:

As a result of one conspiracy against him in 1986, Mr. Oktar was detained for a total of 19 months, 10 of which were spent in a mental hospital and 9 months in the prison. This plot, which coincided with the period when Mr. Oktar wrote and published the book Judaism and Freemasonry, which elicited an enormous reaction, was intended to hinder his intellectual struggle against materialism and atheism. Threats were made to the effect that unless Adnan Oktar, detained in prison and a mental facility because of various groundless reports and slanders by a number of press organizations, put an end to the publication of his book, this pressure would continue. The pressure he was exposed to there was simply a method intended to force him to abandon his powerful intellectual struggle. However, this measure ended in complete failure. Mr. Oktar was found innocent when the Prosecutor’s Office stated it had no evidence against him, and he was duly freed by the court.

The 1991 cocaine conspiracy which followed the failure of this plot is important evidence that Darwinist and materialist circles will stop at nothing in their struggle. During this time work was under way on a most important book concerning the history of Freemasonry and its global organization. Police raided the house in Ortakoy that Mr. Oktar shared with his mother and apparently discovered cocaine in the only third book, out of a library of some 2000 volumes, that they picked up. Mr. Oktar was then detained and sent to the Forensic Medicine Department to be tested for cocaine after spending 72 hours at the Istanbul Security Department Headquarters. It was then announced that high levels of a side-product of cocaine had been identified in Adnan Oktar’s bloodstream. Later still, however, all the evidence put forward revealed that this allegation was merely a conspiracy. It emerged that immediately prior to the police operation, carried out by 20 officers, Mr. Oktar’s mother, neighbor and janitor had cleaned the house from top to bottom, and that these individuals had issued a statement, confirmed by a public notary, saying “we cleaned Adnan Oktar’s house in great detail, and there was no such packet in it.” The issue of the cocaine side-product discovered in Adnan Oktar’s blood was also demolished by scientific and forensic evidence. The findings obtained revealed that the level in question would be lethal if administered 72 hours previously, for which reason the cocaine must have been taken later than that, in other words while Adnan Oktar was in detention by being mixed in with his food.

The confirmation by numerous Turkish and foreign institutions as well as the Forensic Medicine Department that the cocaine had been administered while he was detained, by being mixed in with his food, led to Mr. Oktar being discharged by the court. However, this was not covered by some parts of the media in the same way that his detention had been, and there was literally an attempt to hide it.

Those same circles again resorted to various pressure techniques to hinder Mr. Oktar and his activities in 1999. As a result of these, which were initiated at a time when Adnan Oktar was in the process of publishing his book Global Freemasonry, Mr. Oktar was detained along with a number of BAV members. Those parts of the media involved in the operation increased their psychological warfare campaign at this time. Despite no evidence being uncovered during the course of the operation, various music cassettes, DVD players and floppy disk drives were depicted as “blackmail tools” in various media organs. Statements made under pressure at the Security Department Headquarters were loudly reported by those same circles and carried in written and picture form in press organs and TV channels under their control. In addition, while this smear campaign was going on unbelievable slanders were issued against Mr. Oktar and BAV members, albeit in the absence of any evidence whatsoever. The publishing organs in question felt no need to verify their claims in portraying them to the public as established facts and carrying news stories that were literally lies. As a result of this ugly campaign Adnan Oktar was imprisoned for nine months, with no valid legal evidence against him being submitted.

Subjects that would have the most profound public impact were selected during this psychological war, claims of moral degeneration were made and all kinds of defamation technique were employed with no evidence ever being submitted. Interestingly, although Adnan Oktar was absolved through the evidence in court of all charges following the operation in 12 November, 1999, this outcome was little reported in the press. This indicates the existence of a sinister structure behind the war in question. If the publishing organs in question were honest and impartial they should have reported the outcome of the court proceedings under banner headlines in the same way. Instead, however, and as one method deliberately employed in the psychological campaign, they resorted solely to smears.

Evidence of the psychological war directed against Adnan Oktar is by no means limited to this. For example, the interior minister at the time of the police operation in 1999, described Mr. Oktar as “a greater danger than the PKK.” To describe someone with such superior virtues, who tells others of proper moral values, teaches the Qur’an, reminds the entire world of the signs leading to faith and the beauty in Allah’s creation, and who seeks to defend it from the danger of communism, as a worse threat than the PKK is clearly a smear against Mr. Oktar. The PKK is a terrorist organization that seeks to spread communist ideas, acts with the aim of destroying religious beliefs, does not hesitate to ruthlessly slaughter innocent people and wishes to split up the motherland, Turkey. Yet there have been attempts to describe Mr. Oktar, someone who has dedicated his life to earning the approval of Allah and who is the greatest foe of communism and separatist terror, as a worse danger than the deadly organization in question. This is a complete violation of reason and good conscience.

The same psychological warfare technique has also been employed in different forms. For example, a summons to Adnan Oktar to attend the next session of the most recent and still continuing BAV trial was loudly announced by various press organs. However, Mr. Oktar attended the Justice Department and issued his own statement, following which the proceedings were dropped. This outcome should also have been reported just as loudly, though nothing of the kind happened. That is because such a move would have been incompatible with the warfare techniques employed by the sinister forces directing the campaign in question. These circles operate under the logic of “throw enough mud and some will stick.” Yet court summonses are perfectly normal events and are issued to hundreds of people every day. Yet no banner headlines announcing them ever appear regarding anyone else but Adnan Oktar. All these things are techniques of the psychological warfare being directed against very powerful ideas. There are many other examples of the psychological warfare directed against Mr. Oktar. One such was the way that one publishing organ used the headline “Now Adnan Hodja has had it!” in reference to a Supreme Court decision to overturn a previous verdict regarding the statute of limitations in the context of the case opened against BAV. One columnist known to be a Darwinist, working for a leftist paper, sought to gather support for the war under the headline “Let’s hope Adnan Hodja has had it!”Note that no evidence against Adnan Oktar was submitted anywhere. No evidence emerged in the nine years since the police operation and the initiation of judicial proceedings. It eventually emerged that all allegations were false and Mr. Oktar was absolved of each and every claim made against him. Nonetheless, certain circles still have no qualms about using the most unbelievable language and persisting in the war in question.

Similarly, the slanders issued against Adnan Oktar and the BAV by Ebru Simsek were also used to support this psychological warfare. Some press organs used these following the same warfare method and publicized them under banner headlines. It eventually emerged that all Ebru Simsek’s allegations were lies and Adnan Oktar was again absolved of all the claims made against him. It emerged that Ebru Simsek had committed perjury in court, though this was never mentioned in those press organs constituting the bastion of this psychological warfare. Accusatory headlines based on Ebru Simsek’s lies appeared all over the place, though court records showing that these were all lies were scrupulously kept hidden.

There can be no doubt that this psychological warfare against Adnan Oktar did not escape the attention of some press commentators; even Ismet Berkan, a columnist for daily Radikal, admitted that the unjustified attack made during the 1991 operation was psychological warfare. He openly described one technique in the warfare being prosecuted by saying that “there is no room for the principle of keeping investigations secret in this warfare.”

In summary, it appears that this psychological warfare against Adnan Oktar will continue for so long as he continues his activities against materialism, atheism and Darwinism. That is because, materialist, communist and Marxist circles have never before seen such a powerful and determined attack on them. They are watching Adnan Oktar’s strength, intelligence and activities with fear and amazement, and are aware that these endeavors being made on Allah’s path are achieving significant results. They are literally in a state of panic, and are doing all they can in order to hinder this great success against Darwinism and materialism. However, there is one thing they are unaware of: no matter how much time they spend on these false methods, no matter how much they resort to psychological warfare techniques, it is still, by Allah’s will, the supporters of Allah who will emerge victorious. That is why a campaign waged with such false techniques will inevitably fail no matter how effective it seemed in the past. Adnan Oktar, who places his trust in Allah, has never been affected in the slightest by this campaign, waged against him for so many years, as materialists have expected, and has even been strengthened by all these assaults. The way that some circles have grown increasingly fearful in the face of this can be seen from the terminology they employ, which is filled with despair and hopelessness on account of their failure.

JUDICIAL BODIES HAVE DECIDED THAT THERE IS NO LEGAL FOUNDATION FOR THE CLAIMS PUT FORWARD BY FATİH ALTAYLI REGARDING THE ACCUSED, INCLUDING ADNAN OKTAR.

The fact that there is no legal evidence or documentation for Fatih Altayli’s claims emerged in the light of:

  • The reasoned acquittal verdict, No. 2007/7, issued by Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance
  • The decision, No. 2007/3877, issued by 8th Chamber of Supreme Court of Appeals ,affirming the acquittal, and
  • The acquittal decisions handed down by civil courts of first instance.

These decisions assume this form:

  • A judgment at law based on the Istanbul 6th Civil Court of First Instance, No. 2002/261, proving there is no foundation to Fatih Altayli’s claims.

A judgment at law based on the Kartal 2nd Civil Court of First Instance, No. 1996/381, proving there is no basis to Fatih Altayli’s accusations.

The invalidity of Fatih Altayli’s claims has also been determined under an Istanbul University expert report.

BAV MEMBERS – INCLUDING MR. ADNAN OKTAR – WERE ACQUITTED OF ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE CHARGES BY A DECISION OF THE  Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance

The Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance decision No. 2007/7 acquitted BAV members of organized criminal enterprise charges. The court, which listed the evidence documenting the false nature of this claim, determined there was no organized crime involved in the BAV case in these words:

“According to defendants’ defenses, defense witness and expert testimony and statements given by complainants and witnesses during proceedings of file No. 2004/337 and ACCORDING TO EVIDENCE INDICATED ON A SEPARATE BASIS IN THE ABOVE EVIDENCE SECTION, it is decided that THERE IS NO CONVINCING AND DEFINITIVE PROOF SUFFICIENT TO CONVICT the defendants of ESTABLISHING AN ENTERPRISE FOR CRIMINAL PURPOSES or COMMITTING THE CRIME THEY ARE ACCUSED OF as regards the charge that they are managers or members of this organization, and for that reason, it has been concluded that these CHARGES ARE UNPROVED and that the defendants should be ACQUITTED of this charge too…”

The evidence set out in the Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance reasoned decision No. 2007/7 are the same as that in the case in which Adnan Oktar and the other BAV members are tried. One single defense was made on the basis of the common evidence in both courts. No different evidence was submitted. On the basis of the common evidence submitted by all defendants THE COURT DECIDED THAT NO CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE WAS ESTABLISHED AND THE DEFENDANTS ARE DULY ACQUITTED.

In the 22 January, 2007, reasoned decision No. 2007/7 of file No. 2006/6 of the BAV case heard at the 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance acquittal has been decided on regarding Adnan Oktar and ALL DEFENDANTS concerning the charges of blackmail and establishing a criminal enterprise. That part of the verdict regarding Ebru Simsek reads:

“Though the blackmail crime is under the scope of the law No. 4616, all the evidence regarding this offence in the file has been collected and according to the defendants’ defenses, statements by Ebru Simsek’s representatives, the CDS examined regarding Ebru Simsek, the statement by expert witness Nevzat Tarhan regarding his views on the CD images concerning Ebru Simsek, the statement by Civil Engineer expert witness Caglar Goksu regarding the house in which the images of Ebru Simsek were taken, statements regarding their relations with Ebru Simsek by witnesses Ozgur Aydemir, Ahmet Ali Yildirim, Alkas Cakmak, Alper Cakmak, Tacettin Ince Yavuz Coskun, Ibrahim Ozcan and Ecevit Sahin; it has been determined that in the case of the charges against defendant Bulent Tatlican concerning procuring advantages with menaces there is no substance to the charges, and it has been concluded that in line with law No. 4616, instead of a definitive court verdict being postponed, THE DEFENDANT SHOULD BE ACQUITTED.” Bulent Tatlican has been tried in the 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance on charges of leadership of the alleged organization, and considering all the accusations made against other defendants in the position of being senior figures therein and as required under Turkish Penal Code 313 articles 1-4 and the first article of Turkish Penal Code 192, acquittal has been decided upon in the light of the absence of any evidence.

This element is exceedingly important.

The acquittal bestowed on this person proves that no criminal organization, nor any activities or leaders thereof, exist and is CLEAR LEGAL DOCUMENTATION REVEALING the2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance’s ABSOLUTE OPINIONJ ON THIS MATTER. Because the evidence used in this individual’s defense is the same as that of Adnan Oktar and the other people on trial. The court has decided in the light of the evidence shared in common by all the defendants. No different evidence has been submitted. Therefore, THE COURT HAS DECIDED THAT, in the light of all the defendants’ common evidence, NO CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE EXISTS.”

-1-

After examining the evidence, witness statements and testimonies and expert reports submitted in file 2004/3 in the case of the members of the Science Research Foundation (BAV), the 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance decided that the CLAIMS MADE BY EBRU SIMSEK WERE GROUNDLESS and that the CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE ACCUSATIONS AGAINST THE BAV ARE ALSO GROUNDLESS and has determined upon acquittal. However, that acquittal has never appeared in the press in any form. The way that this acquittal was never mentioned by a press that made hundreds of references to the claims made by Ebru Simsek is part of a psychological warfare campaign.

As everybody knows, the accusation that Adnan Oktar and the BAV blackmailed Ebru Simsek was reported hundreds of times by dozens of newspapers, mainly in headlines and sub-captions and certain newspaper supplements, and these still continue to appear. The Turkish public have practically learned these accusations off by heart. However, after examining expert reports, evidence and witness statements and testimony to the effect that EBRU SIMSEK’S CLAIMS ARE BASELESS AND CONSIST SOLELY OF SLANDER, the court decided ON A VERDICT OF ACQUITTAL. However, no media institutions published this acquittal verdict. So what is going on? Since the press were so exceedingly well intentioned, why did they not say “We issued false accusations for 10 years, and no wish to extend our apologies to you” when they realized that their allegations over the previous decade had all been unfounded? That is something they cannot do, because it is part of this psychological warfare campaign. Because everybody knows that various newspapers are under the direction of experts in psychological warfare.

The court acquittal verdict No. 2007/7 of the 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance file No. 2006/6 showing that Ebru Simsek’s claim were groundless (for some reason or other appeared in almost no press organs!!!).

-2-

The 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance decided in the case of the trial of the BAV members ON ACQUITTAL ON CHARGES REGARDING AN ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE, IN SUCH A WAY AS TO ALSO INCLUDE ADNAN OKTAR IN THAT ACQUITTAL. Following its evaluation of the expert reports, evidence and witness statements and testimony in file No. 2004/331, the court formed the opinion that the CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE ALLEGATIONS MADE BY EBRU SIMSEK AGAINST ADNAN OKTAR AND MEMBERS OF THE BAV WERE GROUNDLESS. However, this acquittal appeared nowhere in the press. Claims based on statements made under torture at the Security Department have been published hundreds of times, generally under banner headlines, while press organs failed to report this acquittal verdict at all, and this is an element of psychological warfare. In the ACQUITTAL verdict No. 2007/7 based on file No. 2006/26, the court reached its decision that Ebru Simsek’s claims were invalid through the following evidence: 1; The fact that all the evidence in the case regarding the charges had been collected together, and according to 2; The defendants’ defences, 3; statements by Ebru Simsek’s representatives, 4; CD images regarding Ebru Simsek, 5; the statement by expert witness Nevzat Tarhan regarding the CD images of Ebru Simsek, 6; the statement by expert witness Civil Engineer Çağlar Göksu regarding the house in which the images of Ebru Simsek were taken, 7; and the accounts regarding their relations with Ebru Simsek by defendants Ozgur Aydemir, Ahmet Ali Yildirim, Alkas Cakmak, Alper Cakmak, Tacettin Ince, Yavuz Coskun, Ibrahim Ozcan and Ecevit Sahin:

“…it has been realized that the accusation against the defendant is unproved … the conclusion has therefore been reached that the defendant should be ACQUITTED.”

The court reached its ACQUITTAL verdict No. 2007/7 of file 2006/26 to the effect that the CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE charges were unfounded with the following evidence: According to,

1; The defendants’ defense,
2; statements by defense witnesses and experts,
3; statements by witnesses during proceedings heard on the basis of 2004/337 and,
4; the evidence shown individually in the evidence section:

“Having concluded that there is insufficient certain and convincing evidence that the defendants formed a criminal enterprise and they committed offences regarding being leaders of members of such an organization, and that the charges were therefore unfounded, the court has issued the following stipulations regarding the defendants’ acquittal from these charges.”

THE PSYCHOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES EMPLOYED
IN THE COCAINE PLOT

  1. Three days before the plot was initiated Adnan Oktar sent faxes warning officials and press organizations that such a conspiracy might be in motion against him. >>
  2. The removal of a packet of cocaine from Adnan Oktar’s home. The result of a house search lasting 3-4 minutes by a large number of police officers was the removal of cocaine from the third book on the middle shelf in the six-level L-shaped library to which they headed immediately in the first room they came to. >>
  3. Cocaine being found in the bloodstream of Adnan Oktar, having been mixed with his food and drink while he was in detention. >>
  4. The publication in daily Sabah prior to the police operation carried out on 10 July, 1991, that Adnan Oktar was a cocaine user. >>
  5. Expert practitioners of psychological warfare used individuals from many state institutions and false evidence in order to halt Adnan Oktar’s activities. >>
  6. The initiation of a smear campaign in the press, claiming that cocaine had been found in Adnan Oktar’s house and that he personally used cocaine. >>

.1.

THREE DAYS prior to the cocaine conspiracy Mr. Adnan Oktar issued faxes to all official bodies and the press stating that he felt there was a plot being directed against him, saying that “a conspiracy might be laid against him and that to that end illegal items such as weapons or drugs might be hidden in his home.” As another precaution, ONE DAY BEFORE THE PLOT he asked HIS MOTHER TO CLEAN THE HOUSE IN GREAT DETAIL. His mother cleaned every room in the house in a detailed manner with the help of neighbors and the janitor, looking everywhere, including in the bookshelves and books. After the incident, Adnan Oktar’s mother’s neighbor and janitor issued statements, confirmed by a public notary, saying “we cleaned Adnan Oktar’s library very carefully, and there was no such packet there then.”

.2.

On the day of the incident Adnan Oktar, brought to Istanbul from Izmir in police detention, was taken to the house accompanied by some 20 police officers, where a search was carried out. During the course of the search and IMMEDIATELY AFTER ENTERING THE HOUSE, at a moment when Adnan Oktar’s attention had been distracted by other people, a packet of cocaine was produced from the third book taken from the middle shelf of the large, 6-level L-shaped bookcase containing hundreds of volumes. The search lasted only 3-4 minutes and after cocaine had been produced from the third book taken from the bookcase no need was felt for anywhere else in the house to be searched.

.3.

Mr. Oktar was held in detention for 72 hours. As a result of a test carried out at the end of that period it was determined that there was more than 5 mg/ml of cocaine in his blood stream. Cocaine is a substance that disappears entirely from the body within 24 hours. Therefore, the presence of such a high level of cocaine in Adnan Oktar’s blood after 72 hours shows that the drug could only have entered his body while he was detained by being mixed in with his food and drink.

You can read part of the medical reports proving that the cocaine was administered while Adnan Oktar was in detention by being mixed in with his food and drink here:

The Turkish Forensic medicine Institute also subsequently confirmed that the cocaine had been administered while Adnan Oktar was in custody be being mixed in with his food. The court regarded the incident as a conspiracy and Adnan Oktar was duly acquitted and released.

.4.

The police raid that ended with the “removal” of a packet of cocaine from Adnan Oktar’s home took place on 10 July, 1991. Yet the 10 July, 1991, edition of daily Sabah carried a lead story of an exceedingly detailed but entirely fictitious “cocaine scenario.” Bearing in mind that the newspaper was prepared the night before, the fact that it PUBLISHED A “COCAINE SCENARIO” BEFORE ANY “COCAINE DISCOVERY” HAD EVEN BEEN MADE shows that it serves the psychological campaign initiated by the force that carried out the cocaine conspiracy against Adnan Oktar. Before “cocaine” was ever “found” in the plot against Mr. Adnan Oktar, daily Sabah published a cocaine scenario under a banner headline.

When the report came out, Adnan Oktar was in detention. 48 HOURS AFTER THE PUBLICATION OF THAT REPORT COCAINE WAS DETERMINED IN ADNAN OKTAR’S BLOOD, ADMINISTERED BY BEING MIXED IN WITH HIS FOOD WHILE HE WAS IN DETENTION. The publication of such a fictitious cocaine scenario at a time when no cocaine had even been mentioned, shows that it was intended to serve the psychological warfare campaign initiated by the forces that set the plot in motion.

The cocaine plot against Adnan Oktar announced its coming beforehand. Imaginative reports about cocaine parties appeared in the press before the finding of cocaine in his home and cocaine being mixed in with his food. Yet before that no reference to cocaine had ever appeared in the press. The infamous cocaine plot against Adnan Oktar, while he was in detention, was set in motion 48 hours after this report concerning cocaine.

.5.

The president of the court also witnessed in his summing up that in the cocaine conspiracy the practitioners of psychological warfare used people from several state institutions. He made this clear during the course of his judgement. Adnan Oktar described the incident in these terms in an interview with Kackar TV:

“…I was taken to court. The prosecutor did not believe it when I went to court. I said that I am careful even about the water I drink, and choose mineral water. I am not the kind of person who would take cocaine, I said. But he responded that it had been found in the house. We met with the judge. “The defendant’s statement is honest”, he said. The judge’s suspicions were aroused. It doesn’t take 20 people to carry out a search, he said. I have been a judge for several years, he said, and this is the first time I have seen anything like it. But he was shouting when he said it, even reprimanding the police officers. The senior police officer was in front of him, and was looking at him sheepishly. The judge found the discovery very suspicious; the fact no search was carried out in the other rooms, that it was carried out by 20 people, that it was immediately found on the middle shelf and that it was carried out in 3 minutes.”

Yet in the wake of the cocaine plot, a historic incident, no investigation was carried out to establish who brought in the cocaine discovered during the search, who mixed the cocaine with Adnan Oktar’s food and drink in such a way that it would appear in his blood stream, and whose orders these people were following. The way the practitioners of psychological warfare produced false evidence during the affair and exposed someone to levels of a toxic substance that could have seriously endangered his health shows the extent to which they are prepared to go.

.6.

Throughout the cocaine conspiracy hearing the slanderous allegation that Adnan Oktar used cocaine appeared hundreds of times in the press. Adnan Oktar was acquitted of the charge and it was realized that the whole affair was a plot, yet the press, which had for months portrayed the cocaine allegation as an established fact, never referred to the decision to acquit Mr. Oktar. This is another wellknown psychological warfare technique.

Several newspapers also published “cocaine slander” as part of the psychological warfare campaign. However, none of them subsequently published the revelation that it was all a plot and that Adnan Oktar had been totally ACQUITTED of this slanderous allegation.

Mr. Adnan Oktar’s ACQUITTAL in the cocaine conspiracy heard at the 10th Criminal Court was not carried by a single media organization.

“ADNAN OKTAR WILL BE FORCED TO ATTEND COURT” PROPAGANDA

“ADNAN OKTAR WILL BE FORCED TO ATTEND COURT” PROPAGANDA Thousands of people called as witnesses in court cases, and warrants are issued in the event of a failure to attend. This is a normal legal procedure. When the same summons issued for thousands of people was also issued in respect of Adnan Oktar this was depicted as a major event in the press. In fact, it is a routine measure, one also applied to many members of the media. In addition, there is generally no question of force being used to oblige people to attend. This is simply a procedural measure. Indeed, Adnan Oktar gave testimony in court and the warrant was lifted. This should also have been reported in the press, though no such thing happened. Because that is another requirement of psychological warfare, and any such reporting would be incompatible with the psychological warfare methods employed by the hidden powers in question. The aim here was to give the impression that police officers had held Adnan Oktar by the arms and marched him into court. They wanted to give the negative impression that someone who so often get in trouble with the police, who often comes to the judiciary by force was not to be trusted. They imagined that this would damage people’s trust and belief in Adnan Oktar’s works, whereas what actually happened was that the affair increased Adnan Oktar’s heroic status, glory and trustworthiness many times over. Because such incidents are all signs of a man with a cause.

THIS TIME THE LIE THAT “ADNAN OKTAR WAS FORCED TO ATTEND COURT”

Before the court hearing, Adnan Oktar personally visited the Istanbul Judiciary and made a statement in the presence of the judge. Although there was no question of his being forced to attend in any way whatsoever, many media institutions carried mendacious reports such as “Adnan Hodja was brought to court by force” or “Force was used to bring Adnan Hodja to court.” It was in any case evident that no decision to issue a warrant would be taken since Adnan Oktar had visited the Justice Department to give a statement one month prior to the hearing, on 29 January. Such reports merely show how insane psychological warfare truly is.

Hürriyet, 19 May, 2007

Secret forces helped daily Hürriyet with the report that the verdict that the case against the Science Research Foundation had expired under the statute of limitations had been overturned by the Supreme Court appearing a day before the Supreme Court had even announced such a decision. Hürriyet happily carried that report on its front page under the caption “Adnan Hodja has had it now.” It was again the practitioners of psychological warfare who leaked the report to the paper. This verdict was later overturned by another department of the Supreme Court, but the paper carried no mention whatsoever of that. So who enable that report to be carried? Think about it!

They said, ‘Burn him and support your deities if you are resolved to do something.’ We said, ‘Fire, be coolness and peace for Ibrahim!’
; (Surat al-Anbiya’, 68-69)

It is impossible to get anywhere by attempting to condemn, imprisoning, slandering or plotting and conspiring against Adnan Oktar. By the will of God, all believers are under His protection. In other words, His mantle lies over them. It is always believers who have emerged victorious, and so it will again be, by God’s leave, in the future.

DAILY EVRENSEL’S EXPRESS WISH CONCERNING ADNAN OKTAR “LET’S HOPE ADNAN HODJA HAS NOW HAD IT.”

Another example of the psychological warfare directed against Adnan Oktar is the report carried in daily Evrensel under the headline “Hopefully, Adnan Hodja has now had it.” This report was merely an attempt to perpetuate the psychological warfare campaign against Adnan Oktar by supporting the report in Hürriyet following the overturning of the statute of limitations verdict by the Supreme Court.

An act from the drama intended to influence the Supreme Court and the public.

Immediately prior to the announcement of the Supreme Court verdict regarding the trial of Adnan Oktar and the members of the BAV, another plan was set in motion. An extraordinarily talented individual by the name of Feridun Özgül was used as a propaganda tool against Adnan Oktar. Under the plan, a few days before the announcement of the verdict the highly talented Feridun Özgül was presented to the cameras and made to weep as he related baseless stories that were nothing less than slanderous. This plan was employed in order to put pressure on the public conscience and on the Supreme Court against Adnan Oktar and the BAV as it came to reach its decision. This television coverage was later used as a news report in daily newspapers. The fact is, however, that the whole affair was a ruse, part of this psychological warfare.

In the wake of this Feridun Özgül’s daughter, Ceylan Özgül Özbudak, issued a statement admitting that everything her father had said was untrue. She described how “she had left her family of her own volition, how she lived very happily with her husband but was kidnapped at gunpoint” by her father. She also said that her father “had spoken before the cameras under the direction of certain circles with the aim of influencing the Supreme Court verdict, and that the affair had been distorted in an effort to impugn Adnan Oktar and the BAV.

A FEW DAYS AFTER THIS THE SUPREME COURT ANNOUNCED ITS NEGATIVE VERDICT. THE NEGATIVE DECISION ARRIVED AT BY THE 8TH CHAMBER OF SUPREME COURT OF APPEALS WAS LATER REVERSED BY ANOTHER CHAMBER OF SUPREME COURT OF APPEALS. THIS DID NOT APPEAR ANYWHERE IN THE PRESS. THE ORIGINAL NEGATIVE DECISION WAS WIDELY TRUMPETED UNDER BANNER HEADLINES, WHILE NOT A SINGLE LINE APPEARED ABOUT THE REVERSAL OF THAT DECISION.

Although Ebru Şimşek’s allegations were openly rejected with the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office decision, No. 1999/8409, not to take the matter any further, these slenders continued to appear under headline reports in various press organs, as part of the psychological warfare campaign, right up until 2008. Neither the decision against Ebru Şimşek nor the evidence revealing that the slenders to date were untrue were similarly not reported to the public by those same press organs.

The images of negotiations around prostitution that Ebru Şimşek claimed were taken under pressure, at gunpoint, were watched by the members of the 2nd Criminal Court of Second Instance and the official expert witnesses. The report in which the court asked expert witness Çağlar Goksu his opinion of the images concluded that: “the bedroom where the hidden camera images were recorded WAS NOT THE SAME PLACE AS that in the villa at the address (where Ebru Şimşek claimed they were taken)…” This significant proof that there was absolutely no truth to Ebru Şimşek’s allegations was not reported in any press publishing organ.

Image of the house where Ebru Şimşek was. Image of the house where Adnan Oktar was alleged to be.
The load-bearing systems of the villa in the Istinye district of Istanbul and the house where the immoral negotiations took place are completely different. The structure in the Ebru Şimşek images was built according to the “concrete support system” (in which the joists suspended from the ceiling can be seen.) The villa in Istinye, however, was built according to the “buried system” (in which the beams are invisible as they are buried inside the ceiling.)

One of the techniques of psychological warfare is propaganda aimed at influencing or changing the feelings, ideas and behaviour of the target group in line with specific objectives. This technique was employed on a regular basis by certain circles throughout the course of the BAV case. Every subject raised in connection with the BAV community during the months in which the Security Department investigation was carried out was distorted by various media institutions as part of the psychological warfare concerned, and although the expert witness reports proved that these accounts were false allegations not a word regarding this appeared in the press.

GROUNDLESS ALLEGATION 1

TARGET GROUP: The public

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROPAGANDA WORDS: Among the incriminating devices unearthed were a secret camera, a secret camera headpiece, and a micro secret camera.

RESPONSE: In the first days of the police operation various dailies wrote that a “secret camera” had been located, though this report turned out to be a lie. The things referred to as secret cameras were ordinary security cameras that can be found in many a detached house garden or workplace entrance.

In addition, the 15 January, 2002, expert witness report presented by the Engineering Faculty of Boğaziçi University clearly stated that the cameras deliberately referred to as secret cameras were security cameras that were freely on sale everywhere, that these were not secret cameras and that they lacked the technical features necessary (such as image recording etc) to make them secret cameras.

GROUNDLESS ALLEGATION 2

TARGET GROUP: The Public

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROPAGANDA WORDS: The incriminating devices located include transformers, CDs, computer discs, electronic tables and disk erasers.

RESPONSE: Ordinary electronic devices of the kind found in every home (light switches, spotlight bulbs, disc drives, satellite components) were collected from homes and portrayed to the press as if they were espionage gadgets. However, the gadget recorded as a “disc eraser” and portrayed as a crime tool was in fact an ordinary “disc drive” of the kind sold together with many laptops at the time.

GROUNDLESS ALLEGATION 3

TARGET GROUP: The Public

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROPAGANDA WORDS: It was reported that during the searches carried out in the BAV members’ homes a large number of video tapes, photographs and documents prepared in order to blackmail celebrities, as well as computers, had been discovered.

RESPONSE: The commercial film tapes, magazines and music CDs taken from the BAV members’ homes were used as a tool in the psychological warfare campaign and depicted as blackmail tools. The fact is, however, that these were documentary and music tapes and CDs found in their dozens in ordinary citizens’ homes.

One of the most personal examples of the psychological warfare waged against Adnan Oktar was the way unfounded allegations concerning the families of some individuals with close links to the BAV found their way into the headlines. The children these people were alleged to have abducted were generally married, aged between 35 and 45, university graduates familiar with several foreign languages and enjoying considerable success in their professional lives. Although the press were many times told that these people had in no way been abducted and had decided of their own free will to have nothing to do with their families because of their families’ immoral lifestyles, those same newspapers and TV channels ignored and never published those statements.

-14-

Many of the families of BAV members have frequently issued statements describing how after joining the foundation their children had started to support the ideas of Ataturk and to become religious and nationalistic, and that they were delighted with that phenomenon. Some press organisations preferred to report on groundless accusations deliberately made for ulterior motives against Adnan Oktar by families directed by certain specific circles, rather than those issued by dozens of other families supporting him. This one-sided approach adopted by the media is yet another proof of the psychological warfare campaign waged against Adnan Oktar.

You can read statements by families of BAV members from here >>

The psychological warfare waged through the media against Adnan Oktar also attracted the notice of certain press organisations.

-16-

In 1999, following operations carried out against members of the BAV, it was alleged that a farm in Silivri belonged to Adnan Oktar. However, this was a simple matter to disprove. Title deeds revealed whom the farm belonged to, and the owners and their families issued many statements saying that the farm belonged to them and that Adnan Oktar had never once even visited it. Yet press organisations had invented all kinds of fictions about the life that was led there. Both Adnan Oktar and the farm owners stated that the reports were false and that the owners’ families lived on the farm in question. The villagers where the farm was situated also sent a formal letter to the appropriate institutions declaring the love and respect they felt for their neighbours. Publishing organs that had reported the allegations in huge typefaces with enormous pictures carried not a single report confirming the true facts, despite the existence of so much evidence and so many witnesses.

The formal letter by the villagers where the farm was situated refuting the allegations made against neighbours whom they loved and respected

Psychological Warfare Tactic: TO BROADCAST EVERY CRIME THOUGHT LIKELY TO HAVE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON SOCIETY. In one article, Oktay Ekşi said this regarding the offences imputed to Adnan Oktar: “…The all approached Adnan Hodja with the usual allegations. Some said that he had been accused of “drug” links and others that there were moves to try him under the Criminal Code under provisions referring to ‘general morality and public order’.”

The technique of drawing conclusions that will have an impact on people’s minds is used in psychological warfare. Accusations of crimes of all kinds hurled at Adnan Oktar were intended to establish a negative impression in the public mind. Adnan Oktar described this tactic of psychological warfare in an interview with Cay TV:

“How can you discredit someone’s books and ideas? What can you say? The most rational and cleverest claim that can be made in this world system is just such claims. Saying that one has violated all possible public ideas, beliefs and moral precepts… this is a classical technique of psychological warfare… They tried it before, but propaganda about religious fanaticism failed to work, they tried under articles 141 and 163 of the Penal Code, but that failed, too. They said we had set up a religious enterprise, but that failed, as well. So they then decided to try accusations of a criminal enterprise, but that, too, was to no avail. Those engaged in the psychological war themselves say that is what they are doing and how effective this will be.”

-18-

One of the warfare techniques employed was Adnan Oktar’s detention for saying “I am a member of the Turkish nation and also of the community of Ibrahim” in 1986, and spending 9 months in prison and then 10 months in the Bakirkoy Hospital for Mental Disorders. A great many dailies happily and excitedly reported this in banner headlines on their front pages. Daily Hürriyet, for example, excitedly carried an effective psychological warfare headline saying “Adnan Hodja proved to be mad.”

Adnan Oktar was detained in Ward 14A, which housed 300 of the most dangerous inmates, where killings were regarded as perfectly ordinary events, entry to which was through a number of iron doors. At the time he was there, more than 10 mental patients in his ward committed more than 10 murders. These events were regarded as nothing out of the ordinary in that ward. During that time he spent 6 weeks handcuffed to his bed. When his mother came to visit him she had to pass through the most dangerously insane inmates. Mr. Oktar spent a total of 19 months in prison and mental hospital, after which he was acquitted and released when the Prosecutor’s Office said “there was no criminal offence in his words.”

All the records related to detailed patient treatments for the years 1985-1986, during which Adnan Oktar was detained in the Bakirkoy Mental and Nervous Illnesses Hospital, have somehow disappeared from the archives. Experts in psychological warfare have thus eliminated all possibility of investigating all the murky aspects of those years. The loss of those records alone from that archive, meticulously maintained ever since 1927, shows the intensity of the psychological warfare campaign being waged against Adnan Oktar.

The stone building dating back to the reign of Sultan Abdulhamit containing Ward 14A, in which Adnan Oktar was detained.

Images from the Bakirkoy Mental Illnesses Hospital.

Mr. Adnan Oktar was imprisoned for 10 months in such parts of the hospital, among hundreds of mentally ill patients who had committed all sorts of crimes, including even murder. These images show a much better maintained and cared for appearance than when Mr. Oktar was detained there. Adnan Oktar was held here when it was in a far worse and more dilapidated state. Anyone can imagine what it must be like to live among 300 patients devoid of any self-control.

There were 300 such patients in Ward 14A, in which Mr. Oktar was held. He was forbidden to talk to anyone he knew before, and was only allowed to speak to patients such as these.

The “SANITY” report given to Adnan Oktar by the Gülhane Military Medical Academy and stating that he was completely sane was not mentioned anywhere in the press. Having been depicted as insane for 20 years, Adnan Oktar was finally cleared with a Military Hospital report confirming his sanity. Those engaged in psychological warfare against Adnan Oktar used this for 20 years, but the fact that all such allegations had been refuted by the Gülhane Military Medical Academy was not reported by any media organisation.

Those who do not believe all but strike you down with their evil looks when they hear the Reminder and say, ‘He is quite mad.’ (Surat al Qalam, 51)

He is nothing but a man possessed so wait a while and see what happens to him.’ He said, ‘My Lord, help me because of their calling me a liar!’ (Surat al Muminun, 25-26)

He said, ‘This Messenger, who has been sent to you, is mad.’ (Surat ash-Shu‘ara’, 27)

As can be seen from the above verses, all the prophets throughout the course of history and all the Muslims who struggled alongside them were subjected to false slanders of various kinds. One of these is the accusation of madness. Adnan Oktar was also accused of this as a result of the honorable struggle he had waged for so many years.

Statements obtained by the Security Department in the BAV (Science Research Foundation) case file consist of false confessions forcibly SIGNED UNREAD AND UNDER SEVERE TORTURE, during the time the accused where held in detention. This is confirmed by torture reports given by a number of different hospitals. These statements obtained in the Security Department are the screams of the tortured, records and proof of that torture. Yet these statements made under torture were repeated in detail time and time again by various publishing organizations. In addition, under Article 18 of the Criminal Evidence Law statements taken in the absence of a lawyer are not admissible. None of the statements in the BAV (Science Research Foundation) case file was taken with a lawyer present. That means that none of these statements is admissible in court. These inadmissible security statements have been published time and time again in all reports regarding the BAV (Science Research Foundation) case over the last 10 years. This is a hollow victory of the psychological warfare campaign.

Article 148 of the Criminal Evidence Law

Forbidden Practices When Taking Statements or Questioning Suspects;

Article 148 (1): Suspect and defendant statements are grounded in free will. No physical or psychological measures such as mistreatment, torture, administration of drugs, tiring, deception, threats and menaces or other means may be employed.

2 – No benefit that contravenes the law may be promised.

3 – Statements obtained illegally, albeit on a voluntary basis, are acceptable as evidence.

4 – Statements taken before the defence is ready, may not be used in arriving at a judgement unless approved by the suspect of defendant in the presence of the judge or court.

5 – In the event a statement needs to be re-taken from a suspect regarding the same incident, that may only be done by the Prosecutor’s Office.

Article 148 of the Sentencing Court Law

The ruling issued on 29.02.08 by the 2nd Criminal Court in the hearing regarding the Science Research Foundation accepted that the Security Department statements were taken by illegal means and therefore inadmissible as evidence as set out under Article 5 of the Sentencing Court Law to the effect that “Under Article 148, statements taken by illegal means are inadmissible as evidence, and statements and evidence obtained by illegal means…”

In the time that followed the 1999 police raid on the homes of BAV (Science Research Foundation) members, the Interior Minister of the time referred to Adnan Oktar and his ideas as “more dangerous than the PKK.” In the more than 250 books he has written to date, Adnan Oktar describes the moral values of the Qur’an and how Islam is a religion of peace and toleration, and sets out to protect people against the threat of Darwinism, materialism and communism. It is Darwinism, materialism and communism that represent the origin of the PKK. And it is Adnan Oktar who is waging the most effective scientific struggle against Darwinism, materialism, communism and terror. He today constitutes a grave danger to the PKK and its ideology. Yet the individual concerned still referred to him as being more dangerous than the PKK. The people engaged in prosecuting the psychological warfare campaign used that statement against Adnan Oktar for years. The person who represents the answer to terrorism was depicted as more of a threat than the PKK!

The depiction of Adnan Oktar, the most serious intellectual, cultural and ideological threat to the PKK, as more of a danger than Abdullah Öcalan, the head of the terrorist group and responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people, is part of the plan drawn up by the exponents of psychological warfare.

ANOTHER CAUSE FOR REJOICING IN THE PRESS!

During the ongoing BAV (Science Research Foundation) case Adnan Oktar was forbidden to leave Turkey. However, there is no need for such a ban, since Adnan Oktar has no need to leave the country. Despite having been the target of a conspiracy throughout his years of intellectual struggle, despite have faced charges carrying a sentence of 25 years in prison, despite having been detained for 10 months in Ward 14A containing the mental hospital’s sickest inmates, and despite being the victim of a cocaine plot, he never made plans or even thought for a single day about leaving the country. Indeed, HE HAS NEVER EVEN APPLIED FOR A PASSPORT. Indeed, it has today been accepted that the claims made by Ebru Şimşek were false, and that the defendants in the BAV (Science Research Foundation) case, including Adnan Oktar, WERE ACQUITTED of the charges of gang membership. There is therefore no risk of a lengthy prison sentence or conviction that could lead to suspicions he might flee overseas. Even if there were, Adnan Oktar is someone who regards such difficulties as a blessing. Yet the lawyer for the other side still applied for a prohibition on travel abroad on the basis of a previous Supreme Court judgment. And a ban was duly imposed.

However, since the decision by the Supreme Court 8th Criminal department has currently been overturned by another section of the Supreme Court, one would expect the prohibition in question to be lifted. Throughout this whole process those directing the psychological warfare campaign have analysed the subject in what they imagine to be the best way and had it carried in the press for days on end as if were a really enormous event. Many press organisations carried it with great delight and excitement. The prohibition on leaving the country is a decision taken regarding hundreds of people in a large number of courts. It has been imposed on many famous figures, including even Erdal İnönü. It is a perfectly run of the mill measure. Yet the phenomenon was depicted as a major event. There is little likelihood of the papers reporting the matter when the ban is lifted in the days ahead. Because psychological warfare requires that there be no such coverage.

-22-

In his letters to members of the press from Kartal Prison, Adnan Oktar stressed how the statements taken at the Security Department were inadmissible. Yet many dailies that had published those statements under banner headlines gave no coverage at all to Adnan Oktar’s own words in these letters.

In an article written at the time Yalcin Peksen stated that these letters of Adnan Oktar’s had not been published IN ORDER TO AVOID ANY INCONSISTENCY APPEARING IN THE PRESS. Refusing to have these accounts, that would demolish the plans of those engaged in the psychological warfare campaign, is actually one of their most important techniques.

-23-

As part of the smear campaign against Adnan Oktar and BAV (Science Research Foundation), countless false allegations were directed against this community, through the mouth of Ebru Şimşek, in various press organizations and television channels, and intense efforts were made to give the impressions that things that had not happened had in fact taken place. When Adnan Oktar and BAV (Science Research Foundation) members attempted to assert their legal rights in the face of these allegations, further unjust imputations to the effect that they were attempting to intimidate Ebru Şimşek and her supporters. The way that the members of BAV (Science Research Foundation) asserted their legal rights and proved that Ebru Şimşek’s claims were lies was distorted and misconstrued by those circles. This unfair and secret struggle is one of the many dirty tricks that has been resorted to.

-24-

Again as part of the psychological warfare campaign, 8 years later an imaginary tale regarding “young girls” was added to the accusations against BAV (Science Research Foundation). Yet no such claim appeared in either the Security Department statements or the case files. Indeed, NONE OF THE WOMEN WHO GAVE STATEMENTS AT THE SECURITY DEPARTMENT WAS YOUNGER THAN 18, AND NOBODY AGED 18 FITS THE DESCRIPTION OF A “YOUNG GIRL.” These women were forced to sign the statements by a combination of threats, pressure and coercion. All these individuals declared, in the presence of the Prosecutor’s Office and the court, that they had no complaints regarding Adnan Oktar and BAV (Science Research Foundation) (Science Research Foundation).

The statement dated 24.05.2000 refuting the press accounts, issued by PINAR TEZCAN and addressed to the No. 1 Istanbul State Security Court (DGM) reads:

“People I know from these circles…believe in Allah, are exceptionally devout and attach great importance to moral values…I saw only goodness there, not evil. As far as I am aware, it is impossible for any of these people, starting with Adnan Oktar, to do any harm to anyone, and had they had such an intention and such a character, I would have been the first to experience it (…)There was no question of their taking any material or psychological advantage of me, and they always treated me with respect and affection…”
